this was really good! i liked reading about how marianne and connell’s lives were intertwined, and how they affected each other as people while also growing up. the portrayal of mental illness, and how that impacted their relationship, also felt very real

Honestly, it started off pretty slow. I wasn’t sure how to feel about it at the start, however the more I read, the more captivating it was. It gives a true depiction into coming of age, without any romanticisation of it, while showing the class divide in a modern way. I found myself relating so much to Marianne’s character, to a point where I had to look at myself in a different way. A heavy read for sure, but also one that (in my opinion), is a must.

i like her but i don'ttt but i do
the whole thing could be read as an omegaverse fic sometimes, the alpha and his pickme broken mate 💔
trushy fics did used to be my go to, Maybe that's why i kinda liked it.
the problem with this particular enemies/friends/bully and his outcast to lovers trope, and watching the dinamic between them changes, is that it just lasted too long. i ate the first 180 pages upp but it gets slower, tiring and harder to chew on as u go on.
i loved the doaloge, and kinda related to the characters in their self destruction and depression arc.
i feel like her need to toch on world problems from a white rich females pov is kinda icky, but overall i do like my fics so i will be going back to check on ms sally.
for the meantime she
partially slayed
