This was another stuff your earbuds listen and it was fun while it lasted. Definitely lives up to the cover art if you know what I mean. 😂

Susie has it all planned out. She knows exactly the type of man she's supposed to settle down with. She's a teacher and has a list for all the things. She hates surprises, so when her car dies on the side of the road and she's rescued by a biker, she's shocked when she turns out to be overwhelmingly attracted to him. As she gets to know City, she decides to let her inner bad girl out for a night and the two share what she assumes will be a one night stand. She doesn't expect to crave him and want more, especially because he doesn't fit the mold of what's supposed to be her future. Susie has to decide if she wants to stick to the expected or to live a little.

I'm unsure if I've ever heard of a grown adult, who isn't pregnant, constantly ordering virgin daiquiris but here we are. 😂 This was spicy and light and fun.

So, how do I start? Generally I liked the story. The good girl and the tattooed, bad boy. The sex was ultra hot and holy shit, there were times I needed a fan.

City (Joey) was a great hero, after the loss of his first love he was broken and just switched girls like his underwear. When he met Suzy he gave the opportunity of love a second chance. I really liked the bond he has with his family- all Italian.
But then, there was Suzy, and she was annoying the shit outta me. Her insecurities freaked me out. A little insecure in the beginning would've been ok, but she pushed City away 'til like 70% of the book. It was always like "he's not good enough for me on paper but the sex is so great" blah, blah,blah... Seriously, gimme a break.

Altogether I liked it, hot sex and a little suspense.

I mean… will this book change lives and possibly the world? Probably not. Did it have me wishing that my car would break down during my daily commute so a hottie on a bike could swoop in to rescue me? Ok, also no because (like they found out in the book) sometimes the fantasy is hotter than the reality. And it also just sounds like a lot of hassle and inconvenience to be broken down on a busy highway.

It was hot though 🥵 and it did have me wishing I was independently wealthy so I too could just open up a business and not worry about if it made money or not. Good for just a slutty little break from your life.

The chemistry was definitely there between Suzy and City (aka Joey), but I feel like this book lacked in character development. Suzy felt a bit oxymoronic because she was supposed to be a good girl who doesn't ever curse, but she is constantly thinking about sex and her best friends nickname is whore. It just didn't gel right for me. City was supposed to be this alpha bad boy player, but there wasn't much of that. Now, maybe that was the author's way of getting us to know the City as everyone perceives him rather than the man he actually is. If that's the case, sure, I'd believe it... but I still think Suzy needs some work.

Overall, it was an easy read and I'd probably read the next book.
