This story didn't work for me.
The filler plot just missed the mark.
Suzy is a good girl with some dirty fantasies.
City is a tattoo artist who is just up for a good time.
They meet in the middle of nowhere and after a one night stand City wants more. Suzy thinks he's too flighty and doesn't meet her checklist.
I got irritated with Suzy. I didn't get her. She appeared really stuck up and I thought City could do better.
But meh. I found this pretty two dimensional, and boring.
The sex was steamy enough, but Suzy ruined this book for me.

(read as part of the Tasted and Tempted collection)
I could have sworn I read a later book in the series that this book kicks off, but remembered nothing about these characters from that book, so that was confusing. Apparently there are two series about siblings running a tattoo shop, and the other one was also in this same collection.

Considering this genre, I just can't justify giving this book a full 4 stars when there are other books with fully fleshed out settings, plots, characters, arcs, diversity, etc. that I also give 4 stars. That being said, I did enjoy this book--I like the confident, persistent male and the good girl/hidden bad girl set-up. I love books where there is family support in the background. Outside of that, there is just lots of steam throughout the entire book...and it isn't all that long of a book. So honestly, 3.5 stars is pretty fitting.
Well, 2017 ended with a bang, reading wise, but 2018 seems to be starting with a whimper, unfortunately. That’s 2 meh books, back to back. Both featured Alpha heroes who owned their own tattoo shop. Not my personal favorite but I have read and enjoyed this particular brand of hero before. I think it was actually the h that annoyed me the most. There was no real plot, a bit too much game playing. I enjoyed the big Italian family aspect but not enough to care to read the rest of the series.
I didn't finish. I don't know why but I really just was not liking the book, mainly the main female character, I pretty much hated. Maybe it was just me and at some point I will go back and try to read it hopefully through different eyes. For now I had to let it go.
Read in Fearless anthology.
Alright. I had high hopes for this. Unfortunately, I could not handle Suzy. She was just so, eh. Wishy-washy is maybe the term. Ugh. She drove me crazy. Plus, I did not realize this was a New Adult novel. I just can't seem to connect to the characters. I got through 15 chapters.

2.5 stars extra points because City is a great character. I won't go in to much detail, just agree with others before me.
1. The use of whore between Suzy and Sophie. Once in a while is fine, the amount used seems a bit over the top to me and unrealistic.
2. Suzy. Ugh. She finally becomes likeable in the last 10% of the book. I started skimming after 65% complete.
3. Pros: City and the sex scenes. Both are hot, and sex scenes while explicit are kind of mild despite our main character's fantasies.
