Not my favorite. This was a struggle to get through. I didn’t love the characters or story. Felt like I wanted to finish it because I’m normally a Cabot fan. The idea of the plot was good. It should have been engaging. Just ok.

I'm bummed that I didn't like this one more... This book is set on a small Florida Keys island with a category 5 hurricane headed straight towards it. A lot of locals are seemingly unconcerned, so Bree, a newer resident, is trying to be unconcerned also and decides not to evacuate. From here, Bree and Drew, nephew of a wealthy and well-known family on the island, establish a relationship that is somewhere between enemies to lovers and strangers to lovers. Honestly, there was very little character development; I didn't have any sense of who either of the main characters truly were by the end of the book. And even though it's a cute enough story, overall it was just a bit too far fetched in the random events that occurred throughout. An easy read, but didn't blow me away.

I was expecting so much more than what I got. I did enjoy the banter. And the Bobs were a big win.

I have always loved Meg Cabot’s book and this latest one did not disappoint. So excited there will be another little bridge story coming in 2020. And it features a librarian!
