This book really wasn’t t very good... not to “judge”, but the main character was an idiot and I never got over that enough to fully enjoy it.
This book was really good! I didn't have high hopes for it because some Adult Romances are a little bit underwhelming and/or boring.
I wasn't bored at all during this story. It's pretty funny at some parts in the story, there are important moments in this book (The ending was amazing and important and sad!) but the MOST IMPORTANT thing that was in this book is... the SEXUAL TENSION BETWEEN THESE CHARACTERS WAS JUST "OH MY GOD!!!!"

Meg Cabot, what happened? I understand that the story takes place during a hurricane but I feel like I was just reading about that instead of the people. Ugh, I love Meg Cabot but this wasn't any good.
I’m not going to lie here, I didn’t finish the last like 30 pages because it got really wild. The tone shift was drastic. But overall, I couldn’t get behind this one. The setting was fun, but the main love interest was way too controlling. I just could not stan.
I think if I was in my teens I’d enjoy this book more. I might be too old now lol

Eu sou a maior fã dessa autora. Todos os livros que li dela, quase todos que ela ja publicou, eu adorei.
Esses tempos até reli cabeça de vento, que foi meu fav ma adolescência. Sei que ao reler tinha plena consciência que eu n era mais o publico alvo da leitura.
Mas diferente de sem julgamentos, que não me interesse pelo trama e pela história, nào consegui me envolver em nenhum momento. A forma como que foi contado, como ia acontecendo… Achei totalmente rebelde sem noção da parte dela querer ficar em um lugar que tinha estado de alerta para sair. E como a história é contada pelo pov dela, que por sinal, achei que a narrativa focava muito nos seus pensamentos.
E tinha todo o plot com os cachorros e animais…. Sendo que eu amo. Mas mesmo assim.
Um grande diferencial da Meg sempre foi os mocinhos, também não gostei dele.
Eu acho que eles mal se desenvolveram direito.
Enfim.

The blurb given by the back of the book is a bit misleading. The book spends a lot of time on the time period leading up to the hurricane. The aftermath is discussed but the looking after pets left behind (as described in the blurb) is a very small part. Otherwise, a generally enjoyable book.
