I enjoyed this book but I feel like there is not much more to say about it.
It is your standard good romance book including:
- a handsome playboy
- small town gossip
- lots of pets
- beautiful scenery (I really want to go to Little Bridge Island now - or at least to any coastal small town)
- a strong and cool female protagonist who though sometimes obnoxiously independent is still very lovable and only annoying on very few occasions
- rich backgrounds but still down to earth people who help the poor
- famous parents
- toxic rich ex-boyfriends
- lots of dogs and other pets (I know I said that already but seriously, it's like the main plot point of the book)
- a hurricane and 'cut of from other people' experience
If this sounds like something you would enjoy, go ahead and read it ;) It was really enjoyable but if you're not into standard tropy romance books you will probably not like this one either.

After the fabulous “Boy Series”, I am seriously disappointed at Meg Cabot about this book. It’s badly written, not very well thought off, and clearly took no effort. Its simply a book fit for one of those reading apps by amateur ghostwriters, not something a well known and celebrated author would write.

What a cute rom com. I enjoyed the characters as well as the plot. A cute love/hate relationship with the two main characters!
