I love Meg Cabot & this book, like her others, was very cute. I didn't love this one as much as I have her others however. The story line felt a bit underdeveloped. As the end approached I felt like it had just gotten to the good part & then all of a sudden it was over. Definitely a quick & fun read, I had just hoped for a bit more of a story.

The cover of this book totally grabbed my attention while I was scrolling through my library’s Libby account looking for something that was ready to borrow. The last time I remember reading Meg Cabot was in high school with vague recollections of enjoyment. Apparently my taste as a read have matured because this one didn’t hold up. The characters had vague backstories that helped explain their current toxic view of love but the pacing was rushed and the story didn’t really grab my attention. The humor was there and plenty of cute animal antics. Drew was a total hottie but I didn’t click with Bree.

My thoughts: page 10 of 358 - Eh! I may have started one book too many.
29 - I'm already thinking about abandoning this book.
107- I had to restart this book for the 3rd time in the middle of chapter 4. It is much better in the daytime. I'm actually enjoying the story. I like the font, and since I have 3 books, I was determined to give it a proper change. I will avoid starting books before bedtime from now on.
??? - Goodreads won't show me my notes.
338 - Almost done! Stupid errands!
This was really good. I was worried because I got all 3 books and was really into it at first. It turns out I was just sleepy, and this book needed full brain power. I was almost freaked out as the book preview is titled The Sheriff and the Librarian, and I don't have that book. I scanned the sleeve of No Offense, and the names are the same. The recipes didn't sound good in the story, so I was surprised to find them at the end of the book. If mayonnaise is the first ingredient in your chip dip, I'm good.
Recommend to others?: Yes. I got this book because I wanted to read No Words; it was a nice light read, and I'm looking forward to working my way through the series. Currently 3 books.

Fans who cut their teeth on Meg Cabot's Princess Diaries will not be disappointed with her latest novel for adults. Other reviewers have commented that the very premise of this book let them down. Yes, I agree that if you're in the path of a hurricane and ordered to evacuate, you should evacuate. However, bad choices often create amazing stories. That's exactly what happens in this romantic comedy. Heroine Bree is running from her past, running from advice, and yes, running from common sense. That's what makes this story work. Readers will cringe at her Bridget Jones' worthy antics, and cheer when the clouds finally clear.
I was fortunate to receive a free ARC of this book from Netgalley. The above thoughts, insights, or recommendations are my own meek musings.

2.5 stars. This was sweet, but I'll probably forget it pretty much immediately.
Meg Cabot is one of my favorite writers. It started with Princess Diaries and kept going through her standalone books and the “Size 12 is Not Fat/ Heather Wells” Series. I mean, does she slow down? Thankfully for me, she does not. I got the opportunity to read her latest new series “No Judgements” from her new Little Bridge Island Series. I loved it so much, I went and got the novella from Amazon.
All I can say I am super happy with this new series. As usual, the characters are relatable, the story is fun, and the writing is so accessible to anyone. I blast through these books and can’t get enough. While the synopsis below tells you a little about the book, just remember that there are always enjoyable nuggets whenever Meg write. If you haven’t made the leap, you must read.
