This was such an enjoyable read for me.
The vibes of the book just matched mey booktaste so well and I've read through it in one joyful sitting.
I could relate so much with the feelings described page after page, and I was so happy when Connor and Judah finally both got their HEA.
Connor is a paramedic with an anxiety disorder.
Judah is the owner of the yarn store, where the two meet.
Connor wants to try knitting a stress relief, but he also wants a handmade baby blanket for his pregnant partner.
What he finds in the yarn store is so much more than just a new hobby.
He finds a family, he finds a lover, he finds peace. But it was not easy to get there.
As Judah quickly becomes the essential part of his support system, Connor realizes he helps him in more than one way to discover himself and heal.
In addition, he wants him, badly.
What he goes through until he's finally able to accept his queerness, is just heartbreaking.
He struggles so much, he hides. His brother is not really helping him, not to speak about the fear of his parents reaction.
But in the end, Judah is always there, even silently supporting him from afar. Until he's not anymore, and Connor panics as he realizes.
There's this one more snow blizzard the have to spent together and yes, it's finally the moment of truth, were they both realize they are made for each other and that they are ready to fight for what they are.

This book just moved a bit too slow for me, focusing on its chosen conflict a bit too strongly and causing my brain to check out. I liked the characters just fine but had absolutely no investment in the story, so I spent most of this book failing to pay attention and skimming my way through it.
emotional lighthearted

Rating: 3.25/5
Spice rating: 4ish/5 (not super frequent and  overly descriptive/detailed, but there are a few open door scenes with some moderate descriptors)

Sadly, this was more a miss than a hit for me.

Connor and Judah have a great meet-cute at a yarn store that Judah runs with his family, but once the two of them acknowledged the instalove happening, it went downhill for me.

The dialogue throughout the book felt really unnatural and I can’t pinpoint exactly why. Judah refers to his brother as ‘bro’ all the time and I feel like it could be a case of the author writing siblings when they don’t have siblings.

I was all in up until about 30% and sadly ended up having to force my way through it :/

Plus, I think that Connor’s brother got way too easy of a redemption arc after being a homophobic dick and also using the word ‘libt*rd’ in conversation prior to that. Like… yeah it’s accurate to the type, but I didn’t expect that going into this book lmao

Thank you to GRR for the copy in preparation for book 2!

No real reason 🤷🏻‍♀️

A good start with Connor and Judah meeting for the first time.
Judah's brother is set on helping him get back out there in the dating world, even Molly helps too. An adorable story with these guys as a gentle giant learns to knit. I loved Connors inner thoughts I had a giggle at some of them. Thoughts of being close to another man had Connor freaking out of sorts but feels right. A gorgeous freindship start and things progress from there with a little help from mother nature. Conner has GAD which I had no idea about it but now I do with this book. The ending was gorgeous one for them both, includes both pov's into the story.

Conner 32 was a paramedic and wanted to try knitting but was tottally lost when it came to yarns. Thank goodness Judah 27 was there to help him when he walked into his shop.

Sweet, adorable gentle giant, could've done without the coming out scene though (or would've loved if there was a trigger warning). It triggered me big time.

This friends to lovers romance was sweet just like the two main characters. Connor was looking for different ways to handle his anxiety when he entered Judah's yarn store where the two struck up a friendship that turned into more.
