As always, Eragon's tale is fascinating and entertaining. While his elves and dwarves follow many of the "usual" stereotypes, they're not poorly done and I greatly enjoy them.
Di questo secondo volume mi è piaciuta moltissimo la dinamica dell’addestramento di Eragon e il suo rapporto con il maestro, in più tutta l’atmosfera elfica che lo circonda, l’ambientazione e il popolo elfico. I personaggi sono davvero a tutto tondo e mi piace il modo in cui vengano indagati i loro stati d’animo e come si esprimono nei dialoghi, sebbene mi siano mancati molto alcuni personaggi del primo. Mi è piaciuta tanto anche la serie di capitoli dal punto di vista del cugino ed è inutile menzionare la bellezza del rapporto tra il protagonista e Saphira. In più, c’è un bel plot twist.
Paolini has shown improvement as an author since his first book. Still not a brilliant example of writing, but an enjoyable story none-the-less.

This kid is a genius. Why can't I write like this? Sequel to Eragon, so read it first, and see the movie in December 2006. [return][return]After successfully evading an Urgals ambush, Eragon is adopted into the Ingeitum clan and sent to finish his training so he can further help the Varden in their struggle against the Empire.
This is not my sort of book to be quite honest. But it well written all the same
Realising how the series ended I couldn't continue as I hated how it was going to end
