I am in love with John Greens NF books. I need more

hopeful informative reflective slow-paced

I liked the concept and many of the essays were thought provoking. I think I would have preferred to listen to this as an audiobook, but the main impression it left on me was just how aggressively American centric it was. I know that it was very autobiographical but with the title mentioning the Anthropocene, it does imply that we will be reviewing more than this very narrow worldview. So many of the things he was talking about, nobody outside of the USA has even heard of, and I had zero interest in learning about. Of course the author can write about what he wants so I can’t begrudge him writing his own experiences but a title like A Rather Niche and Restrictive Section Of Midwestern American Culture with One Or Two Forays Into The Rest Of The World Reviewed, which is kind of what this actually was, probably wouldn’t have enticed me.
I give The Anthropocene Reviewed 2.5 stars.
