Bis zu einem gewissen Grad kann ich damit umgehen aber ich brauche trotzdem immer wieder eine minimale Besserung/ Erweichung und bis das hier der Fall ist (sollte das überhaupt jemals passieren) bin ich psychisch komplett am Ende.

I've been wanting to read this, and OMG. This book broke me and slowly put me back together. Heads up.. there are disturbing scenes, and it hurts me. It's a really, really dark, erotic, BDSM, romance book. Quincy Mercer (Q) is such a mysterious man. I need to know his story. As for Tess, she went through so much, but I'm glad she didn't break. However, there were so so many times that I got frustrated with her. First read by Pepper Winters, and I love the way how she writes. Really descriptive that you can totally picture it.

Super dark. Nightmares material and I really struggled with how the audience was meant to relate/enjoy this book
an exhausting journey but made it through and wow lol. truly a wild ride.
Not for me, but then, blood, rape and extreme pain aren't for everyone...

At first I was planning to give it less than that, I wasn't even sure I wanted to read it. But somehow I did and honestly, the end - the part when Tess was set free - made me reconsider it. Things that were first hard to understand, made sense all of a sudden - well, at least some sense.
I really like that the translation of French was written, because I never studied French and it made it easier. Some stories don't have that, so that was great.
The book is not in my top 10, but if you like reading "dark" romances then it's the book for you. I don't like abuse at all, not physical and not verbal. And it's hard for me to imagine falling for someone who would do those things to me. Yes, they were both "damaged" in their own way, but still somehow it seemed a bit exaggerated. I guess we're all different.

I loved this book!!!!! I couldn't put it down after I finished I downloaded book 2 and will start it tonight. Im in love with Q!!!!!!!
