Loved this book and the twisted relationship that builds between Tess and Q... Everyone needs a Q.

I liked it. That's it - I liked it. Pennies, another book from Pepper Winters, just stole my heart and even though Tears of Tess is great story with interesting characters... my heart already belongs to somebody else. But I will read all books in the series because Q... Q is just Q and if you want to find out... just read it :) It's not so hard reading as Pennies was, this is lighter one. So far. I will let you know after reading the rest of the series :)
A little bit unbelievable and strong in some parts. It certainly went places quite darker than the usual erotic s&m romance would take you. It is not badly written, but the characters are hard to get around. Do not recommend it for the easily impressionable or people who get disturbed by sexual violence and degrading.
the French in this book was hot! The sex in this book was scorching HOT. Like fire, like melting lava. The hero in this book was deliciously dark, broody, troubled, sexy as hell.

I kept hoping this one would take off, and it finally did. Yes, I am already in therapy before this book. I adored Tess and Q. I loved every bit of transformation and the ~* taboo *~ dark desires which I may or may not have.

Definitely not good enough to merit a reread. I don’t know if I forgot I had read it or just thought I needed another chance. It’s fine. Took me a LOOOOOONG time to finish. I’ve read much better since this.
Spoiler
Oh wow was this a delicious bite of dark erotica! The main female character is Tess. In the beginning she seems to want to include her boyfriend in her kinky desires. They go on vacation to Mexico, she dresses sexy for him and shows him a toy. Brax seems sweet enough. He is not kinky (he does not even like PDA) but he truly loves Tess. Tess wishes that was enough. She loves Brax but he is obviously not as dominant as she needs her lover to be to get off.
While in Mexico Tess is kidnapped. Fast forward a few weeks to when she becomes the possession on Q aka Quincy Mercer. She comes into his household still full of fight. The thing Q notices and likes the most about her. Q never claims to be anything but a master. Her Master. She realizes soon enough that he could be the type of man to feed her desires. But he's her captor!
The time it took for Tess to go from being unsure about her sexuality, to captive to falling for Q was paced appropriately. I knew it was going to be dark but I did not know Q would end up having a surprise or three up his sleeve. For example, he invites some people over while Tess in tied up, naked and display for their entertainment. This is surprising behavior seeing as Q treats Tess with some degree of a Master. Ownership seemed questionable in that scene.
A lot of other things happen to Tess that you will have to simply read to find out. I am looking forward to the next book.
Overall Rating 4.67 round up to 5
Characters 5 (Tess and Q are simply wicked together and I want to keep reading to see where the story goes!)
Story/Plot 4 (very believable, dark yet highly erotic)
Heat/Romance 5!! (every time Tess and Q have a scene together, be it sex or not, sparks fly!)
This was 50% shades of gray with a bit of a change not for me, and the fact that it took me 2 days says it all, it was boaring & i was getting distracted, i loved the beginning because she was a fighter after that it went down the hill for me because she became needy and whining a lot which is something I don’t enjoy in books
