It was dark but I loved it. It was so well written I wanted to know more. I needed to know what was going to happen next. I admire tess, her strength, her fight. I admire Q, his facade and his truth
I will be getting the other 2 books in this trilogy.
The first few chapters I didn't quite know where the book was going; I'm glad I stuck with it, I was worried it was going to go down a different route of dark depravity that left me feeling hollow and hating the MMC. Thankfully it didn't go down that way, and I've discovered an amazing book I truly enjoyed

Tears of Tess is dark, intense, emotional and heartbreaking. Tears of Tess is a story of survival and finding love in the strangest places. This book is definitely not for everyone and is difficult to read at times. And even though this is one of the out of the box/not my typical read for me, it was worth reading. Pepper Winters writing pulls you in from the first page and you just have to read more. I thought the book was well written and the plot was very interesting. One of the best parts for me was getting Q's pov in the last chapter, that helped answer some questions for me. Overall, this was an excellent book, but again I want to stress that this book is not for everyone!
Wow! This was a rollercoaster of inconsistencies, with a stupid, messed up, and confusing heroine, and a weak plot... I almost gave it a one star, but some scenes stopped me doing that. This book was a waste of my time...

Tears of Tess by Pepper Winters is a dark and sinister story that is so gripping it will feel like the book still has a hold long after reading it.
Imagine having everything you could possible want in life - a great boyfriend, a promising career. Imagine then having it all ripped away in one moment it the worst possible way. That is exactly what happens to Tess when her boyfriend, Brax, takes her on holiday to Mexico.
One minute she is enjoying a relaxing time in the sun, the next she has been drugged, kidnapped and sold.
Her life is turned entirely upside down and Tess has to find a way to fight. With Brax desperately trying to find her Tess has to find the best way to survive in what can only be described as a living nightmare. But how much can she take before she is broken for good?
This book was absolutely hauntingly good. It struck me right from the start because I felt like it was something that could genuinely happen to someone. For me that added such a depth to the story. I knew right from the blurb I was going to enjoy this story and it did not let me down. Dark and twisted this book will push you to your limits and beyond and will have you on the edge of your seat. So many times throughout this book my heart was racing. Absolutely incredible, this is a must read.

I really liked this book. There were three scenes that were really hard to read but I loved the outcome of those scenes so it made it ok. I was actually terrified to read this for the longest time because of the reviews but the story really is beautiful and I can't wait to read Quintessentially Q! So far Pepper is 2-0 for me. I loved every word of both or her books that I have read.
Omg this book is AMAZING. Extremely HAWT. This was definitely my speed where the action started around 13%. I felt like I was watching a movie! I loved it more than captive in the dark! Hmmm Q or Caleb. QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ all the way. If I could I would have read this in one sitting. Q tried to keep me up late.
