Ovo nije kritika knjige kao knjige, nego hrvatskog prijevoda. Lošiji prijevod nisam čitala još od famoznog, izmasakriranog Eragona. Drago mi je što se ostali nastavci nisu preveli, jer ovo je sramotno. Zbog nerazumjevanja što je prevoditelj htio reći, morala sam doslovno pogledati englesko izdanje da bih shvatila o čemu se točno radi u pojedinim dijelovima knjige.

Srećom ostatak trilogije ću pročitati na engleskom.

Knjiga je inače stvarno super, nisam već duže čitala taj tip knjiga i baš mi je sjela... likovi su maaalo predvidljivi, ali sve u svemu zabavna knjiga. Samo mi je taj jebeni (pardon my french) prijevod uništio doživljaj.

Very gripping read. I have mixed feelings on the take of vampires - but still found it an interesting and refreshing perspective. The first half of the book shined more than the second - del toro really knows how to make you sit on the edge of your seat for what's about to happen. The pay off was sort of worth it, but I'm hoping in reading more it'll get a little better. Now that the build up is one with, I don't know how the sequels will compare.

Overall though, great read.

Um, no, not for me but more than that it just wasn't a good book. I spent the last half of the book just wanting it to be over. I still have a hard time DNFing a book and I was waiting on another audiobook so I had nothing else to listen to on my commute. I didn't care for any of the characters, especially the Ephram, he was a terrible father and I don't have the patience right now for any bad parents. I also didn't care what happened in the story, it started off well and from there it was downhill. Funny thing is I tried to watch the TV show when it first came out a few years ago and I had the same feeling.
