The audiobook was horrible. It was monotone with no feeling or hard reaction. The preformed read it like he was bored to death even when something gruesome was happening. It was also hard to follow at part too. Ill be switch to the physical books from here to see of they are better with my own internal dialogue.

Although the book was fine, it took me forever to get through it, it just didn't have the pull for me to pick it up and carry on with it. Forced myself in the end, not a bad read but not particularly gripping.

Another take on vampires. A plan lands and all the passengers appear to be dead. While taking the passengers out of the plane it becomes apparent that there are 4 survivors. They are quarantined, but quickly end up at home with their families. The first night after the tragedy all the bodies end up missing from the morgue. This begins a journey to find out what is happening and how to stop the epidemic. I really loved the book. At times it was full of violence and some images I would rather not imagine, but it did keep me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for the remaining books.

Did get a little clunky at times and possibly a couple too many of the individual experiences but overall was very entertaining and the beginning was very reminiscent of the Stand by Stephen king

This feels like a DAN BROWN / Michael Crichton novel ... with a dash of THE STAND ... which is just fine by me. Clear, easy prose. Well paced action. I'm not sure what I expected, before I read it. From what I remember from PAN's LABYRINTH and HELLBOY 2, I suppose I expected something DARKER and WEIRDER. This is pretty fun, though.
