I know I know another vampire story... Think omega man style vampires though, not the a shiny teen angsty kind. The creatures just started coming to life, so far it is awesome fun to read. Can't put it down!

Awesome audiobook! I did not know anything about this book when I reserved it on the Ohio Ebook Project. Needless to say, it was a wild ride - if you are a fan of Dean Koontz, then you will really like this book. Highly recommended - I am anxiously awaiting my turn to download the sequel ("The Fall").
Audiobook's narrator, Ron Perlman, did an excellent job in consistently pulling me back to the plot of this book, even though the imaginative story on a typical paranormal topic didn't keep my interest as much as I would've liked. Recommended for adult horror enthusiasts, a genre that isn't my fave, but happy I made it through my annual Halloween horror genre read.
Not a bad read by any means, but I have a hard time with a lot of zombie/vampire horror (gets a bit too predictable frequently), and I ended up being pretty disappointed in the roles he placed Kelley and Nora in. I don't have any real urge to continue reading the series, but I think it will make a decent TV show (and thus far it has indeed been decidedly decent, I'll wait a few more episodes for something more definitive than that).
Started off very intensely to draw you in, then fell a little short. A good intro for the series which I am generally enjoying. Will have to update when the 3rd comes out!
