New author to me and a nice story.
In the Warmest Wishes advent calendar, set in California.
Nice to get a different cultural festival with the winter solstice festival of Dongzhi. Lucas struggles to fit in, Oliver is probably seeing hostility thats not there - apart from Jeffrey. But a good family short.
