I personally think that this should have come before Network Effect. In the timeline, it seems like it does. You get so much character development in the novel before this that it feels weird because it seems like Murderbot has taken a step back in their character development. I felt like this novella was lacking in what the novel gave us and what it had set up. Now I am not saying that the author needs to only write novels but I think they laid a lot of good groundwork and set up a lot of great things in Network Effect that should have been carried on to this one and it was not. I was very disappointed in this part and hope she moves forward in the timeline. I still need more Murderbot in my life.

I read this book much more slowly than the other ones--not because it was less interesting, but just because I had to wait for the library hold to come in and by the time it did, I had a lot going on and was busy. I really enjoyed it though, and I look forward to reading the next books when they come out.

I loved this one so freaking much! Murderbot is honestly the most relatable character I’ve ever read. I just…I have no words. I loved this so much!

I liked that Murderbot made (sort of) friends with the Preservation Station bots (and the fact that they were all ready for a throw down at the slightest hint of danger to one of their own? Fucking priceless!). I also loved the fact that MB pestered Station Security into letting it in on an investigation. And you know, accidentally making acquaintances/sort-of-maybe-friends with the security officers. It was just so good. It seriously had me giggling, because MB is just ridiculously anxious and also so done with everything.

I’m so sad that the next book won’t be out for a while! I just want more Murderbot in my life. Fugitive Telemetry is getting a solid five stars! It’s just so freaking good.

Another excellent addition to the Murderbot Diaries. I love to see how Murderbot grows ans adapts to its new life 😊 Proud of myself for figuring out the culprit before it did 💁‍♀️
