I wanted to love it and it was cute, but it didn’t have the punch the Harris Brothers series had. Also, the repetitive use of “waggles his/her brows” in every book I’ve read by A.D. is becoming monotonous. 3 stars ⭐️

Waiting Was Worth It.
I had been waiting a long time to read this book and I recently got the opportunity to do it with audio. It is my new favorite thing to do - read and listen to a book together. I adored Teddy Hamilton crooning in my ear. I also thought Erin Mallon did a perfect job with her adaption of Kate’s quirky a fun nature.
The story line was good. There were plenty of moments I was smirking or snorting. Even though drama is far from what Miles wanted, it happens anyways but in a small dose. What was in plentiful supply were the sex scenes. I’m all for them if it is consistent to the plot but when it is overplayed, it just becomes monotonous and yawn worthy.
I known there is a second book to come in this series, even though they are standalones. Will you be waiting with me to read the Next In Line?

Fun and easy rom com that had me laughing out loud throughout. Kate aka Mercedes, the smut book writer and Miles, the mechanic handy man. She sneaks into where he’s working to finish her book then leads to a friend with benefits to lovers. Sweet how they both fell for one another.
