Our God is ABLE! The one "who is able" is the one who's telling you the truth.

Excellent book. It was easy to read and made me want to read it. I recommend this book for anyone who isn't sure (or needs reminding) of God's ability to answer prayers regarding that really, really big thing/issue/problem/etc. Priscilla also addresses God's willingness to answer our prayers which I've not read much about in other sources.

Beautiful book that examines God’s ability to exceed, give abundant, and go beyond our prayers of what we ask and give our complete trust in him. We learn about the power and truth of the Lord and why we need to act NOW to continue to live life in a way that pleases God.

She written the book as if she was speaking to you (tell it sections) and that made it personable. Basically emphasized that God will exceed your expectations don’t limit Him. Relatable experiences of God helping us when lose something and pray for assistance

I love and appreciate Shirer’s writing style and vivid analogies. With that said, I found this book a bit more on the surface level side of theology. Perhaps I was expecting something a bit more theologically in-depth, so I felt let down. But, I will say that this book is probably a great read for those who are newer to their Christianity journey. She makes the concepts she discusses very tangible and accessible for readers.

Man, my soul NEEDED this. I loved it, lived it, was enriched by it.
For me, someone who is not often found dipping into conversational-tone theological writing, this was refreshing, lighter, and somehow more personal than any thick, deep, heavy, exegetical theology has ever been (except for maybe Tim Keller).
I have now revised my hard-and-fast rule that only heavy theology can deepen relationship with God. Sometimes we really need to sit down with someone who is going to take the time emphatically to drive home a point into our thick skulls. That was what Priscilla Shirer's book did for me. It was inspiring, moving, encouraging, and just GOOD.
First experience of Shirer's ministry, and I am grateful for her and keen to hear more through her ministry.

Side note: I listened to the audiobook narrated by Lisa Renee-Pitts. Usually I listen to audiobooks on 1.5x speed or more, otherwise books feel really slow. I prefer a more conversational pace. This narrator was extra, extra slow. But somehow, it worked. Particularly for the first few chapters which really require you to think.
