this started off good. the whole book was a wild ride. naughty children in thrillers is one of the tropes i love. "the push" is actually one of my favorite books i've read this year. this had more disturbing scenes in my opinion, as in there was more descriptive scenes and it was soo good until the ending. like what was that ending? nothing was answered. also i was so frustrated with the male main character he was always in denial and it was so frustrating and made me want to literally punch him and maybe make him actually look at the truth in front of him, but overall i enjoyed it.

This reminded me of The orphan which is one of my favorite movies. It was really interesting to see things from both perspectives. Hannah's slow descent into madness was extremely sad. I also felt bad for Janie despite also being terrified of children after reading this. You never really got an answer as to what caused her behavior. Overall this was a good book but the ending wasn't great and the husband was annoying.
