Roar Like a Lion is a 90 day devotional for school age children that encourages them to live their faith courageously. Each devotion starts with a Bible verse, offers a short reading and ends in a prayer.
First and foremost, can we just talk about this amazing cover!? Wow! Now, I know that we're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover and all, but let's be honest kids are often quite visual and so this bright and vibrant design definitely draws kids into the important messages inside wonderfully. And the messages inside are just a great as the cover too! The topics are those that many children that many kids can relate to, and written in a way that is appealing to the intended age group and easier for them to understand and apply as well. There were some topics covered that may not apply to every child, but overall I thought it was really well done and one that kids can really enjoy and learn from. If you're looking for a great devotional for your child, this is certainly one to check out.

AMAZING!
Love this devotional. My kiddos Loved it too!
From the front cover (which is my favorite cover EVER) to the last page you are continually pulled into a world exemplifying Courageous Faith. I thought it was well written and it was easy to understand for a wide age range, from my littlest (2), to me. We all got something out of this book.
My favorite part was probably some of the "Did You Know?" sections as I didn't always know the answers.
I HIGHLY recommend this book and I have already ordered a couple copies as Christmas gifts :)

A great devotional for young to middle school kids. Each devotional has a scripture, a story, a prayer, and either a "Did you know?" fact or "Get Ready To Roar" encouragement, and a "Find the Anchors" challenge. Love the artwork throughout the book. Easy to read and to understand.

We absolutely have been loving this devotional in our house. We have been using this devotional as part of our morning time routine during our homeschool day. It is great for all age groups. I am using it right now for kiddos ages 12, 9, 7, and 6. We have been using the daily Bible Verse as our copy work. My kids favorite part is the "Did You Know?" section in each devotional. Its a fun fact or a historical tidbit which is great for us as homeschoolers to tie in a lot of subjects into one book. It has also brought on a lot of good conversations and reminders as we go through our day.
If you have kiddos and would like to do this as a family it is perfect for that. But if you have a child who is a good reader and in need of a new devotional book then I definitely recommend this one. It is perfect for a 8-11 year old.
