The 3 star rating was because the pacing was way too slow but the book does pick up at the 70 percent mark. But that ending has me sad, mad and confused. What was that?? Is this where R F Kuang got the idea for the poppy war trilogy finale scene?
Because..
I have no words actually.
I am just going to sit myself in a corner and think about this for the foreseeable future. Goodbye!

I think this book was quite similar in some ways to 'Assassin's Quest' in that the majority of the lore only is revealed right at the end in a big lump. I am beginning to learn that if the book has only twenty or so pages left and there is no clear end in sight to be worried! I did think the worldbuilding revealed in this book was very cool though! Many aspects of the world before seemed very discrete and while there are still things Sanderson has kept unexplained in this book everything was linked together. Another thing that I enjoyed was how cinematic parts of the book felt. For a setting full of volcanoes and falling ash most of the trilogy has been so focused on the plot that the 'visual' aspect of the setting has kind of been glossed over but certain scenes in this book were something I can definitely imagine seeing in a film and I love volcanoes so this was great!

Finally got the courage to read this book so I could say I read the entire Mistborn trilogy…and wow what a journey! From the start, of the series, I connected to and loved Vin and with this conclusion, I'm just in awe of the person she grew into. From a skittish street kid who thought trusting others was stupid...to a selfless and loving role model.
This trilogy only takes place over a few short years but the amount of character growth, from all the characters, is fantastic and had me cheering for them every step of the way.
Overall a fantastic and epic fantasy that I highly recommend giving a go, if you haven't already. 💜

Though the story and the ending were really good(in my opinion), i thought the authour extended some things, making progress in the story slower. Also, he repeated the same things over and over. Like, what tin does, for example.
World buulding was extremely good except the names. Like, a guy is literally called "the Citizen". And in the first book "the Lord Ruler". But i mean, if the biggest complaint about someone's story is the names, than I'd say its a pretty good story, no?
Overall, i enjoyed this very much and definitely recommend
