Man oh man, I have mixed feelings on this volume, and I'm sad to even say that. Yang is, by far, my favorite character from RWBY, and I do feel that to some extent this volume of anthology let me down just a little bit.

Up until this one, I had had the impression that all of these anthologies were made prior to or during the release of volume 3 of the show. This installment proved that assumption incorrect, and I have to say that the recurring jabs at the Fourth Wall used to prove it aren't exactly ones I found funny.

I love Yang and she deserved an anthology volume that built upon the greater aspects of her rather than just the "funny tough girl", but that isn't what she got, which is a little heartbreaking. I would have loved to have seen a greater look into how other creators collaborating on this project took the time to examine her character further and build upon it, but I suppose I was expecting too much.

This is worth reading for the sake of entertainment, especially if you're a fan of the main animated series, you love the character, and you've read through the other three, but don't expect many stories that are very deep or well-written. There is only one story that really sort of plays on that, a story where little Yang talks with Qrow, and even that isn't enough to really save this volume.

I love Rwby and I'll always love any Rwby related content. But as I literally never read manga I find it hard to tell if it's good or not.
Anyway, I enjoyed this, it was fun and lightpy entertaining. I found some of the short stories a little confusing, am unsure if it's me being unused to Manga style or the storytelling itself. Still, definitely plan to get the rest of the anthology at some point!

Some of the art styles and stories were just not good.
