Dieses Buch ist sehr schön. Es kann von verlassene Orte, als ob sie waren wunderschön und, mit den Augen der Hauptfigur zu sagen, sie wirklich sind. Schade, dass die Geschichte ist traurig, und wahrscheinlich sehr wahr.
This book is beautiful. It describes desolate places as if they were beautiful and, with the eyes of the main character, they really are. Too bad the story is sad and probably very true.

I would say this book was quite painful to get through, with a lot of very heavy themes and a slow pace. I am still happy to have read it, and I thought it was very thought-provoking at times. I chose to write a short essay about it in my German lit class because I was so engulfed in it that I wanted to explore it further, even after having discussed it passionately at the seminar.
