Despite the slow start I found myself reading this book at a breakneck speed, eager to find out what each Eileen was getting up to. Heartwarming and a little heartbreaking, always a tad funny

I was quite disappointed by this book, as I loved The Flatshare. The whole premise was unbelievable from the go - two months paid leave for one panic attack? Unlikely. The story was too slow, no actual plot, a lot of significant things for the characters happened off page, there were no real stakes and every little thing got resolved far too easily. I didn't feel like I really knew or connected with the characters. That being said, it was an easy read for a few days, with some enjoyable story points. Overall I do feel that this was a bit of a hit-and-miss.

I had high hopes after loving The Flatshare last year, but unfortunately this one did not live up to my expectations.

Truth be told it was just really boring! Not a great deal happens, it was super predictable and the characters were pretty unlikeable or just one dimensional stereotypes. My favourite part was the
Leena-Jackson
romance so I truly think O’Leary should stick to pure romance as that does seem to be what she’s best at.

Super cute rom com. The voice acting was brilliant with Daisy Edgar Jones and Alison Steadman. Did I know exact what was going to happen and who was going to end up with who in the first 5 mins? Yes. Do I care? No. It's was perfectly formed and I didn't need any massive twists and turns just fun along the way. It was much more emotional than expected given
her sister's death from cancer.

A lovely, really well-paced romance that pulls off a convincing enemies to lovers trope without toxicity, includes love at all ages, and has a lovable and rich cast of characters.  It also depicts a broken family following tragedy, including how several family members struggle to heal from it. In the end, it’s a heartwarming read.
