A suspenseful ride

Hardly anything is what it seems in this story. You will feel like you're reading a mystery, romance, horror, fantasy, and sci-fi story all at the same time. After your mind is taken hostage and twisted, you will find yourself enjoying every minute of it.

A truly amazing horror tale, love story and drama My Soul To Keep is definitely one of my favorite books I've read so far this year. With excellent characterization and a really rich and original story, Due has definitely captivated my interest. She gets every note right building a sense of dread and making characters who are complex and layered. Horror is at its best when you are engaged emotionally and Due does that very well. I highly recommend this book and will continue with the series to see what happens next.

Good concept but I really wasn't feeling that ending.

The audiobook version of "couldn't put it down" - despite its length I read it in a week! Expertly read by Peter Francis James.

Even though I knew this was not the type of typical supernatural book, I decided to give it a chance anyway. I dont know if I will be able to make it to the other 3 books. David pissed me off every step of the way. I wanted to shake the hell out of Jessica cause she kept making stupid decisions.

Great intriguing story about a man who has lived for centuries and the woman he falls deeply in love with. The relationship dynamics are deep and complicated and the background development is really well done.

The pacing in the beginning was a bit slow for my preference and I thought the protagonist was a bit naive (perhaps that was the point). But overall, I kept reading which means I enjoyed it

This was interesting. The immortality, the secrets being revealed, and how it all unfolded captivated me. At times it was a little slow and overly detailed where I felt I would have been okay without knowing those small details. I need a breather before starting the next installment, but I’m definitely interested in what’s to come next. 4.5 ⭐️

Interesting concept and compelling characters, but I just couldn't deal with the constant presence of deep religious beliefs. I understand it was part of the story/tension, but I found it off-putting.
