I am really liking Travis Simmons and the story that has been created in this series, it is totally different from anything I have read before. I liked how a lot of things that were left unanswered in the first book were answered in The Mirror of the Moon and it carries on right where The Bonds of Blood finished and the adventure to rescue Amber continued.
There is never a dull moment as the book is fast pacing and obviously we get to know even more about the four siblings, Jovian, Angelica, Joya and Amber. The character development is brilliant and the creatures in this only got better. I loved the fantasy world that Mr Simmons created.
I would recommend reading The Bonds of Blood before reading this one though as it may cause confusion if you haven't.
I will of course be reading the next instalment as I can't get enough of this series.

I really like this series so far. The Mirror of the Moon picks up right where The Bonds of Blood ends and answers many of the questions I had about the Neferis family from the first book. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for this review. All opinions written here are my own.

I found this book to be as well written as the first in the series. I am still engrossed with the characters and their journey. They are all really well written individuals with their own unique personalities. I enjoy watching them grown and mature as the journey proceeds.

Book two picks up right where book one left off. I suggest you read the first book if you haven't already. As I said in my review of the first book, it takes a little while to get into it for some people, but don't give up. It is worth the patience it may take to get through the first chapter or so.

This second book was easier for me to get into, since I had read the first one. I was eager to find out what was going to happen to Amber. I was definitely ready for Grace to tell them the secrets she knows about all of them.

As with the first book, there is a lot going on throughout the book and the author handles it well. I have a habit of sitting down a book and picking it up days later because I got caught up in another book. I would recommend you not do that with these books. I always had to spend some time catching myself back up, because there is so much going on. That isn't a complaint, just a helpful hint.

All in all, I recommend this book to fantasy lovers. It has everything you could want in a good fantasy book. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
