Dr. Manhattan immediately reviews the timeline to make sure everything’s right and it almost seems perfect except he can tell that something is wrong. We learn that the decisions Dr. Manhattan affected alternate timelines to the point where he destroyed the earth over and over again.

And as Dr. Manhattan tells the story to Adrian, he realizes that his future is blurry and he cannot see what’s wrong, but he can see that death, destruction, and his feeling responsible for it haunts him.

In the end, Ozymandias lies to Dr. Manhattan but helps him keep the timeline intact at the same time. I have to admit that this issue confused me more than anything, and I’m probably a little too tired to be reading it right now, but the story was okay in the end.
