7 years between books, and VE Schwab has done something incredible. This might be my favorite book in the series. Maybe favorite book ever.

I've liked this return to the world of the three Londons more than I liked my first incursion. It might be because the characters are more mature, or just because I resonated more with them this time around. But I've really liked to see the magic through other points of view. And I know I will get to love or hate one of the perspectives in further books.

But just like before I can never fully trust Holland or white London.

Honestly, this was great, a return, not quite a complete similar rendition. I actually remembered most of these characters and they're kind of actually taken down a notch, but I forgot most of the story. It's a fan, wondrous introduction to be honest, of the different Londons, mystery, and it's fun, just real fun, and a lot of suspense. I had a good deal of fun with this book, it's entertaining and clearly exploring magic, what it means could be and how it's used and the drama. Can't wait for the next book.
