I was gifted this book, but have followed Lalala on Instagram for quite some time. I’ve always found her advice and stories to be extremely informative and knew that her book would be no different. I wasn’t disappointed.

I think reading this as a heterosexual, cisgender woman or man would be the most useful. As a cisgender, pansexual woman I did find that at points I was a bit disappointed by the lack of inclusion. However Lalala does give this disclaimer at the beginning; she discusses what she knows, as a cis het white woman. She also points us in the direction of people who are able to provide more diverse narratives, which was a nice touch.

Overall, I think this book is really useful for single women navigating the dating world. However I’d argue that it’s even more important for cis het men to read this; there is a great deal of explanation about how actions impact on women and how to change these problematic behaviours.
