so my manager's wife decided to lend this to me since we both like quite a few similar comics. so my manager brings it in and handed to me first thing in the morning. and my coworker Dustin walks up and gets excited when he sees that I'm holding a comic book. he says "oooooh comics!" so I tell him that it's incredibly not safe for work and he ignores that, and takes a look, and he flips through it for about half a second. and he immediately snapped it shut, blinking. "you were right" he says.
same thing with my coworker kaori. I was in the other room, I walk in and her eyebrows are sky-high. incredibly blustering. so both of these reactions are 100% great
overall this was a really fun, sweet beginning to a story about these two really shy, lonely women who are destined to find each other. and I guess there's some racy sex stuff but mostly it's about a love story
oh, and my manager panicked today and came up to me and said "I had no idea it was not safe for work Sara just told me!!" so the whole thing has been quite hysterical

Reread 2019
And so the rereads begin!
I am actually surprised that I didn't get around to rereading this comic in 2018, despite how many times I thought about it. I think I wanted to wait a little, give it time to settle so I wouldn't get bored with the story too soon.
Now, though, vol 6 is on its way, and so I am warming up with a reread. Also a great way to start of the year AND get the time to go while I'm hanging out in a mostly empty apartment without anything to do - no, there is nothing to unpack atm.
So, yeah. Reread began, and I am letting the rating of 5 stars stand.
Sure, the art isn't the best and there are some grammatical errors that aren't a big deal but that I notice as an author. But! The point is that I still really enjoyed reading it. It was still hot as F, despite me knowing what was going to happen - that may actually be part of the hot as well. As Lisa said, the expectations you create yourself... oh wow...
I don't think I'll get to read the second volume today, but so a set pan for tomorrow!

This is the second sexually based thing I'm reading this month, and this comic was so much better than the book I read!

Stealing from another review: Reading it, I did think, "well, this is cute, and sweet, and charming and funny, and it sure does make BDSM seem regular, and make kink culture out as nothing to be frightened of - something innately human, romantic, exciting, and deeply intimate."
