Felt a little superficial. Most of the plot happened in the last 80-ish pages and the rest kinda felt like filler. It was fine imo. Not badly written, but nothing special. It took me a while to figure out why I felt something was off and in my opinion, this books should have been written from Imani's POV. I think that would have made it more interesting. Mostly couldn't get into it I think because the characters weren't relatable for me. But that's a me problem.

This one is probably closer to a 3.75 for me, but it was still a good read! I really liked that she was able to deal with tough issues well in the context of this YA romance. I also liked the complexity we saw within these characters and that what they were going through spanned past just a music festival and a romance. That being said, I did think that some of the issues surrounding the romance in the last third or so of the book felt a bit forced (I do think what was brought up could have played out well, but the idea of it happening within the course of a day was a bit too much of a stretch). However, like I said, this was still an enjoyable book!

I loved You Should See Me in a Crown but insta-love storylines are really not for me! I feel like it would have been stronger if Olivia and Toni remained broken up and Olivia realized she needs to learn to take romantic relationships more slowly and not take her friends for granted .
