Loved the pacing until the last twenty or so pages when things kind of fell off. I suppose I was expecting more of a resolution between Alix and Olive, and Ezra and Calvin; instead we just cut to scenes of them getting along with no solid explanation of how they got to that point.
I also loved how realistic this story felt, from the portrayal of bullying to each character's personal struggles; each character felt believable. The representation of Ezra's sexuality was also handled respectfully, and I found it refreshing to seeing him and Alix defy stereotypes and grow within their relationship.

Love a cute, romantic graphic novel. I've been reading some pretty depressing stories lately so I needed a pick me up like this. The romance between the two main characters is very believable. I like an opposite's attract romance and both the characters had intriguing backstories and motivations.
I got so frustrated when Alix tried talking to her coach about the captain being so cruel. I just couldn't believe a coach would really allow that kind of behavior of one player so blatantly bullying another, but then I remembered as a kid a similar situation happened to my volleyball team and caused a friend of mine to transfer to another school.
Overall, a good story and I wished it had been longer!
