A cute graphic novel about a teen girl who loves hockey more than anything learning to deal with bullies and an angry outburst that scared her. She then enlists "drama boy"--who is sexually fluid--to help her and they like-like each other. The artwork was great, the story was decent, and there are brief references of abusive and absentee father figures. Overall, not bad but compared to other graphic novels I've read prior to this it does not hold its own.
It was cute, but just didn't meet my personal expectations. Would put in my YA collection though.

As another reviewer noted, this was a breath of fresh air. A little more unique of high school characters drawn into a romance, and most interestingly, because the Hockey Girl of the title wants some help getting control of her anger. File this under The Kids Are Alright.
