This was a sweet, feel-good high school romance between a hockey loving girl and a queer theatre geek. Opposites attract in this heart-felt graphic novel perfect for fans of Heartstoppers. I loved that it's set in British Columbia and all the Canadian references and thought the bullying/anger management rep was really well done. Highly recommended, especially if you enjoyed the author/artist's earlier work on Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell or the series Check, please! by Ngozi Ukazu. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

I loved the core premise of this book - a bisexual guy (who people assume os gay) and a tough hockey loving gap fall in love. Adorable!! Loved the way it flipped gendered expectations! The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because I felt some of the plot points couldve usesld further expansion, particularly with regards to Alixs future in hockey.

I don't think that a graphic novel was the best method of telling this beautiful story. I fell in love with the characters and just wanted more. More depth, more time, more conflict. This read like a novella and I want a whole tv series hahaha
