These books are just amazing. Love the combination of family drama, old Irish tales told in the book for entertainment, and magical elements. I've already ordered the next book in the series.

So good! Such excellent storytelling and so unexpected. It might be a 4.5 overall. But I just love how she writes her characters! Such depth. And the story is so engaging as she reveals, slowly, the various forces at play. Really powerful ways to represent healing and trauma. So so beautiful. Liadan is such a powerful, good character.

Another great book set in this world that mixes history, folklore, and other fantasy elements. Love the continued story of some of the characters, and many new ones hold my heart. Beautifully and emotionally written. The pacing was a little off at times but still did not keep me from turning the pages as fast as I could. Cheering on the triumphs, mour ing those lost, and both hopeful and fearful for what the next book has to come.
