3.5 stars
It's not a bad book. I liked it. But it's not super amazing nor is it a 5 star read for me.
It DID get me emotional and stressed out and invested in the characters' emotions and mental well-being. Especially Rhys (trigger warning- there's mentions/ descriptions of him experiencing PTSD and its symptoms). But there was a lot of angst and I guess that kinda of threw me off a bit cos Sadie's very hot and cold -which given her background, is understandable.
Lovely ending and HEA though and I was super happy with the way things ended <3

[after second read] i read it a second time, i love the setting but hate how it seems like dollar store boys of tommen. but it did have good plot points because b13 etc is just so amazing that even dollar store content is good.
[after first read] ugh that was hard to get through. while it had some solid plot points and storylines, it was boring otherwise. the amount of copycat plot points and identical scenes with keeping 13 was crazyyyyyyyyyy. (ps. keeping 13 is farrrr superior) also i hate smut so i had to skip a lot which was annoying. rhys and sadie were cute i guess. i hate when the female is overly mean because she is “going through stuff” in books but rhys not caring and saying he is never leaving made that specific troupe at least a little easier to read. it was giving dollar tree boys of tommen: (joey>sadie), (rhys>johnny), (ollie>liam), (oliver>tadhg), (rhys parents>johnnys parents), (sadie’s parents>shannons parents), (freddy>gibsie), and (ro>claire).
i liked the luc W…. “ Luc shakes his head with a sigh. “Kelley’s not normal. And if you don’t
know what’s going on in that fucking rink” “ …it was weird how rhys kinda ignored this. i kinda felt like rhys was all about his problems and caring if he “had sadie” or sadie loved him, but he never put in the extra mile of what sadie needed. he would do anything if sadie asked but he felt very surface level and selfish in that way. especially him needing her as a crutch even though she was going through her own problems.

If you took Icebreaker and Binding 13 and smashed them together, that is what this book reminds me of.
