I am absolutely inhaling these books. I’ve read 3 in the past week alone. And I will start 4 the second I finish typing this.

I loved this book and the world that it is set in. The writer manages to create a world with no humans, yet doesn't fall back on the cats/mice/birds/dragons/fairies are the dominate species. She created something entirely new yet entirely relatable.

I hope this series continues--it has been added to my auto-buy list. Lovely

This is the third in the Books of the Raksura series, and my favorite so far. I loved it. Everything that I liked in the first two books is present here: excellent worldbuilding; a very likable main character; well-drawn secondary characters; skillful, intelligent writing. I've grown even more attached to the main character (Moon), whom I would now count among my favorite fictional main characters. I particularly enjoy his interactions with Stone.

There were times as I read this when I was completely caught up in the characters, when everything in the real world dropped away and I wanted nothing more than to read the next page. Books like this are what led me to be addicted to reading in the first place. Very highly recommended -- but don't jump in at book three, start at the beginning with "The Cloud Roads."

About my reviews: I try to review every book I read, including those that I don't end up enjoying. The reviews are not scholarly, but just indicate my reaction as a reader, reading being my addiction. I am miserly with 5-star reviews; 4 stars means I liked a book very much; 3 stars means I liked it; 2 stars means I didn't like it (though often the 2-star books are very popular with other readers and/or are by authors whose other work I've loved).
