I was a little hesitant about this book because it’s so popular on booktok, and that usually means it’s not my thing, but I really enjoyed this. I love a faerie book that actually makes their faeries distinctly not human, and the main character is so very autistic, but that’s part of what makes her good at her job.

Very cute and sweet while still having enough traditional fae elements to make you a little uncomfortable at times.

I do not support all women. Some of yall (Emily Wilde) are dumb (said somewhat endearingly). I skimmed most of the last quarter of this book because it became a bit tedious at times. Overall an okay read, but I am disappointed since I’d heard such great things about it.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I expected to, and was put off by all the animal cruelty and killing. I tried reading the ebook initially, but the formatting of the chapter flourishes overtook half the page rendering them unreadable.  I spent some Xmas money to buy a paperback, but I'm not sure I want to buy the next one. This one just wasn't good enough.  Too bad.
