I’ve been eagerly waiting for Luca’s book since the Blue Collar Brothers series was first announced! I loved getting to meet him in the Bedroom Games series and I knew his story would be super interesting because he was an absolute character even in the brief snippet we saw of him! And now that I've read Engaged to the EMT, I can confirm that it was amazing...and it was so, so worth the wait!
If you're new to Piper and Rayne, then you should know that their series are made up of standalones that collectively make up little companion series, so with each book you get to see a new couple, and you also get to see bits of the other couples in the series because they're all interconnected. This means you can definitely read their books as standalones, but that you can also read them in order to see things unfold and tie in together. They also have characters from their other series make cameos occasionally. which is a lot of fun if you recognize the past characters!
In Engaged to the EMT, we finally get Lauren and Luca's story! The previous two books in the Blue Collar Brothers series featured Luca's older brothers: Mauro and Cristian, and Lauren's two best friends: Maddie and Vanessa. In Flirting with Fire (Mauro and Maddie's book), we saw Lauren and Luca's rivalry for the first time, and in Crushing on the Cop (Cristian and Vanessa's book), we saw them clash even more...and now in Engaged to the EMT, we get to see their hate turn to love! ;) Not only did we get the awesome hate-to-love trope (oooh the tension ;D), we also get the fake relationship trope, which I'm always a sucker for! It was honestly, exactly what I hoped for and everything that I could've possibly wanted! I absolutely ADORED this book so much! I loved Luca and Lauren! I loved their banter, their competitiveness with each other, and I absolutely loved seeing them grow together! It was fun, sexy, and so, so good!!!
If you're a fan of sweet, sizzling, and sexy romances, then you should definitely check out Piper Rayne's books! They're one of my favourite writing duos, and they never disappoint! For the Blue Collar Brothers series, specifically, I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for sexy heroes and fierce and sassy heroines...especially if you love seeing wonderful friendships and family dynamics in your romances! I seriously can't recommend this one enough! I absolutely loved Engaged to the EMT and the Blue Collar Brothers has quickly become a favourite romance series of mine! I can't wait to see more of them in Piper Rayne's forthcoming White Collar Cousins series which is expected to release sometime in 2019! ;)

I love reading Piper Rayne's books just for that last book in the series. They build all the characters up in each book so you are salivating for that last book.
Luca and Lauren prove that there really is a thin line between love and hate. They both are competitive in nature. Luca thinks he needs to prove himself to his family. The only person that can help him AND make it believable is his enemy Lauren.
