I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been curious about Angie since she came out of stasis on the Ice Planet. The story of her pregnancy and who/what her child ended up being was not what I expected, but I was satisfied with the explanation. The real story here, in my mind, is the story of Vordis and his struggles with being a clone, a slave, and a warrior. There is so much that has been embedded in his psyche from years of being told what to do and when to do it, how to feel, and how to act. It’s no wonder he, and his clone/brother Thrand, have a hard time figuring things out when it comes to their individuality and what that individuality means for their relationship to each other.

Don’t get me wrong, this story is a romance between Angie and Vordis. He is infatuated with her but doesn’t see that she is also smitten with him. The chip on his shoulder from all the years of being interchangeable with his clone has put his self-worth in the gutter so he often thinks he is insulting Angie when his personality comes through in his time with her. Vordis is so thoughtful and sweet, it’s no wonder Angie falls for him.

I love the constant world-building that is going on in this series. You can see threads of stories already read that overlap, as well as the beginnings of other stories yet to be told.

This one was so up and down for me!!! I really loved Vordis, and his journey with discovering of his identity! Angie was also so sweet, and I love little Glory.
I thought the

third act miscommunication breakup seemed really forced. I had to just push through the story and account it to Angie being emotional since she just gave birth.

Overall, it was a sweet story. I loved Vordis and Thran’s relationship as well.

We're kind of running into the problem of very similar, muscled, personality-free alien main male characters in this series, especially the guys who escaped slavery. I'm still here for the plot and the ice planet.

This was a really sweet story. Vordis and Angie are so sweet together.

I love how Vordis wants and loves Angie even though she's already pregnant. And I loved how once Angie gives birth he that's Angie's daughter at his own, despite having never been around children, and how he immediately loves and wants to protect her daughter.

I really enjoyed seeing how they navigate their relationship with Angie being pregnant and Vordis being a clone and having Thrand, his "brother" turn everything Vordis does for Angie into a competition.

I really enjoyed the fact that this I've was more of a sweet story than a sexually packed story like some of the other books in the series. In fact I probably would've been fine if there were no sexual scenes in this one, even though I enjoyed the small scenes we did get in this.

I did get a little bored near the end of this book but it's not so bad that it would take me out of the story. Overall this was a pretty enjoyable read.

I loved this book. When I first saw that Angie and the twins wouldn't be a threesome, I was not excited. So I took a little break from the series and came back and loved this book. Very excited to continue the series!
