Angie's Gladiator

So this isn’t your typical Ice Planet book where they just eff the entire time. There’s pregnant Angie and her bodyguard protectors. They’re clones with a directive to protect Angie. Angie likes one of the Vordes (audiobook so don’t know the spelling) but doesn’t know if he likes her because he was programmed(?) to be with her.

So this book has these two/three characters figures out how to be themselves. Vordes and Thane are clones and Thane feels that they need to do the same thing, but Vordes tries to distance himself from Thane which causes hard feelings because it’s always been them together. Thane needed to learn to become his own individual, while they both needed to find their value as people since they were always slaves and didn’t think they had worth.

Angie learns that she can be someone’s directive and love interest. Since she was pregnant for most of the book there was no resonance until the end of the book.

It was cute.

3.25-3.5 stars. Quickie review: This was Angie and Vordis's book. Angie is the human girl that woke up pregnant with an unknown type of baby. Vordis is the red alien who has a clone/twin brother (Thrand). Both of the red alien brothers are interested in Angie, but Vordis is the one who really cares about her. She has the baby (a cute, red alien girl) and then she and Vordis resonate. I enjoyed this book, but it was not my very fave. It was a little slow and the couple was a little lacking in chemistry. It is very low heat. Also, Vordis doesn't have very much personality or sense of humor. Overall, though, I was entertained and I still love this fun series.

I don't know what it was about this cozy, sweet read but it just gave me all the feels. And yet, it felt like the choppiest in the series so far. Abrupt chapter endings, choppy scenes... but I couldn't put it down. I loved it. I love Vordis. I laughed out loud. Angie was so likable. This just made me smile the whole way through. 4.5 rounded up.

Angie and her Hot sauce were once again so much fun. I don’t know how Ruby keeps coming up with these fun new plots in the same world, but you won’t catch me complaining!😂

Ok honestly really like this one it was so sweet

I shouldn't have to wait until I'm 82% into the book to get to some spice. Not very entertaining. Kind of wanted it to be over.
