A quick thriller that keeps your attention. It has a few twists at the end. Overall, very enjoyable.

*3.75* this one was straight up wild. It was an easy read and moved quickly which I liked. In the middle there was a bit too much repetitiveness for me with Kate not trusting anyone. I thought the end was wild and not predictable which I enjoyed even though it was a bit out there. Not as good as the last mrs parish but still a good read.

I just adore everything the sisters Constantine write!
Once again a masterpiece of unpredictability and suspense. I doubted the trustworthiness of several characters. The only character I really remained certain of was Kate.
I love the character development and the several plot twists (not a spoiler as that's the essence of the books written by the sisters Constantine).
I absolutely recommend reading this book!!!

I give this book 3.5 ⭐️ While it kept my attention for most of it, I felt the ending was so weird. I did not get the twist though, so points for that!

I'm giving this two stars because I actually managed to finish it. I guess I'll start by saying that I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was encouraged to pick up another book by the same author, but I was left extremely disappointed. Without spoiling, there was way too much use of the trope, "Is she crazy? Or is someone actually trying to kill her?" I am beyond sick of authors using female characters this way and making a fool out of them because they have anxiety or other mental health needs. What should have been a thriller became a soap opera. I kept reading, thinking a major twist would come halfway, maybe two-thirds in, only to be disappointed again. If you decide to pick this one up, take it all at face value. Although you're better off doing yourself a favor and just skipping it altogether. Not sure I'll be reading any more from this author....
