This is my first "lengthy review", but in all fucking honesty, I was recommended this with the premise that it would be heartbreaking and soul shattering. What did it end up being? An author basically romanticizing pedophilic behaviour with the excuse of "oh, but this guy has the mind of a 30 year old but he's in the body of a 15 year old". And somehow, THAT excuse is supposed to make Chu Wanning seem like a "better" man for liking a fucking child? I won't even get into how according to this author, the bodies of 15 year olds are "MATURE" as stated in some quote from the second half of this book. Are we even gonna discuss how fucking normalized this genre of "romance" is? This book was also so long for no reason with so much useless backstory for random characters who will probably never appear again. In the end, what I'd like to say is: stop labelling pedophilia as romance. End of story, end of review.
