I found the translations too poor, and the content too unsuitable. It was very very triggering, which made the jokes come off wrong.

I wish I could read this in the original Chinese because the translation leaves a lot to be desired. There doesn’t seem to have been any effort made to make the translation enjoyable to read. That on top of cardboard flat characters made for a pretty bad read.

honestly this too me a while to get into, i struggled with the way it was written at first and it was difficult bc

rooting for the villain as the main character was so hard & even throughout i couldn't help but be annoyed the ML, especially once we saw even more of the person that he hated.

🫠 I love the characters so much, like so damn much especially Chu Wanning. Like i cannot, this man will forever have my heart. i didn't rlly see any issues with the book & i loved the story so it's 4.75 bumped up to a 5 bc of enjoyment purposes. I couldn't put the book down tbh😭
