As her relationship is falling apart and she is listening to her soon to be ex-husband blast messages via his radio show, she is trying to get to and attend to her sister who is having a baby and a man from her past is holding her colleagues hostage in the hospital AND if all this wasn't enough, the state she is living in is going through a controversial vote to cede from the Union. A whole heck of a lot of drama.

Loved this book. I'd say you could put this in the category of "beach read" if you wanted to, except it was so much better than the couple other "beach reads" I read this summer, which were not very good.
The story line in this is full of interesting, thoughtful twists. I loved the way she used names of songs/lyrics to feed the storyline throughout -- clever. I really liked her writing style. Couldn't put it down.

I'd really give this 3.5 stars. I wanted to stay up all night and read this - just great character development, and I could feel the tension building all through the book. I want to know what happens to everyone next - always a sign of a good book for me.

I really enjoyed this book. There were a lot of themes interwoven together, and the story is revealed at just the right times.
