Ich mochte es, denke aber, dass es Leuten, die sich fürs Programmieren interessieren noch mehr gefallen würde.

A big fan of Mr. Deaver and a permanent resident of the blue nowhere , I had every reason to enjoy this book and enjoy I did . Granted it was written a while back and may sound dated but it was definitely a great read and the different setup for the story made it gripping read.

Well well well, what a fascinating read!! I want to call it sci-fi but honestly pretty much everything in this book may not have been possible when it was published in 2001 but is likely possible today, 20 years later.

I liked the twists and turns and loved the fact that I couldn't guess who Shawn was. Oh, I tried... over and over again but failed.

The only improvement I see is a slight lacking in character building. We learn a little bit about Wyatts childhood, wife, etc. but really not enough to fall in love with his character which is something I really wanted to do.

Overall a great story, well thought out, and man I learned so much about computers. Solid 4 stars.

Really cool book. Good hacker against really bad hacker. The book was written back in 2001, and so the author says that the virus' in the book probably couldn't be created, but that was 12 years ago, they probably could be made now and that is scary...

This one is hard for me. I loved the plot, the characters, and the twists and turns this story takes. Just when you think you have it figured out the author throws another twist into the story.

Where I struggled with this was with the book being so outdated. This book was published in 2001, and it is now 2020. So the use of floppy discs etc, are so outdated that it makes it hard to read in spots.

However, I do love a good plot twist and this one had plenty!!

I sure love a good Deaver novel, and I haven't found one yet that isn't good! I really enjoyed reading this book. Although it is a little dated in the technological portion of it (it was about computers, hackers, and the internet and was written in 2001) it didn't disappoint in the thriller arena. As always, there were twists and turns that I attempted to anticipate but I did not accurately figure out the twists. If you are a fan of thrillers and police dramas, you will enjoy this and all other Deaver novels.

A technological thriller, and a great introduction to Jeffery Deaver as a Crime/Thiller writer that (at least in my opinion) far excels Stephen King.
