I started off really liking the small town, but then as I kept reading more of the books, I realized that the small town is actually just the 4 couples that these 4 books follow. Like apart from the four couples there's maybe like three more characters which takes me out of the book a little because I'm like does no one else exist in this town. They allude to like other people, but they seemingly do not exist ever. I thought this book was pretty weak. I didn't love Ada and I thought the romance was boring. I'm sorry. I only read it because I really wanted to read the enemies to lovers that happens in book 3. Also, at the end there was this weird like she gives up her job situation which is fine, but it kind of was like written in a way that made it seem like Wes was waiting and expecting that eventually she would give up her career. I don't know how to explain it, but it was giving like all of the characters agreed the right decision was for her to quit her job to solely be with Wes. Like her career was a temporary, "in the meantime" thing.

"Stupid sad brain"

The depression rep in this is SO GOOD! I'm always looking for more mental health representation, especially in romance, because it makes them feel so much more relatable, and makes me feel seen when i can see my issues in a romance hero.

Weston Ryder is an A+ book boyfriend! This one is a solid 4.5 - took off half a star because insta-love is one of my least favorite tropes. I finished this in one day!!

I loved this book! The sweetness between Ada and Wes was amazing and the way they were just both so supportive! šŸ˜ Loved every minute of it
Although, I will say I was hoping for a one-horse scene and we didn’t get that :/. My only complaint!

This book was hands down one of the best most cozy most sweet romance books I’ve read thus far. I feel blessed. I liked it more than the first one.
