When her life gets complicated, Jessie moves in with her twin brother, Isaac, and his two best friends. Trouble is, one of those friends is a boy whom Jessie once loved before a terrible accident changed his life forever - an accident Jessie blames herself for.
This is a nice 'coming home' story with the addition of lots of eccentric pensioners to make you smile. I only hope I can get up to half as much trouble when I am their age!
I couldn't quite give a full five stars because I often found the antics of Isaac and his friend Arthur a tad annoying. I'm not sure I would have had Jessie's patience in dealing with them, but then I don't have siblings to cope with so who knows? - maybe I would have had the patience of a saint?! Anyway, I would have liked to read more interaction between Jessie and Elliot rather then Isaac and his friend.
All faults aside, still a good read!

Weird - loved the side characters but found the main characters jarring and slightly repetitive

I adored this one. Its a heartwarming feelgood read. Yes, there is romance (although very slow burn) and some very funny moments. But it is also about adapting to a new life/situation, dealing with guilt and getting a second chance. Definitely worth the read and i wouldn't mind reading more books about Jesse, Elliot, the outlaws and their friends and family.
I got this arc in exchange for an honest review.
